What makes our school different?
Our school is richly diverse and we welcome families from a range of backgrounds. Our curriculum aims to reflect our community. We are home to the Oxfordshire base for deaf pupils. Inclusivity is very important to us.
We are a values-based school. The values you see are not just on our letterhead, they inform our policy, practice, and interactions.
We value the importance of outdoor learning and all our classes in from nursery to Year 3 have their own outdoor areas, we have an on-site forest school and huge grounds for playtimes.
We spend time getting to know individual needs and abilities. We have high expectations for all pupils and provide support for those who need it to achieve their personal best.
Our curriculum is bespoke and written by us, for us. We utilise the local area and enhance our curriculum with trips, visitors and activities frequently.
Our staff are committed to continually developing their own skills through exploring research, training, IRIS technology (self-reflections via video recordings) and visiting other classes and schools. We also encourage regular feedback on how we are doing through our bi-annual questionnaires and termly ‘Have your say’ meetings for parents.
